Cinephile, is there a reason to exclude superhero serials but not the rest of the serials?

@Pencho15

Currently, the only serial in this list is Les vampires (1915).

The serials excluded are: Flash Gordon (1936), Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe (1940), Adventures of Captain Marvel (1941), Batman (1943), and Batman and Robin (1949).

When Flash Gordon came in 1936, it normalized the superhero serial, more and more appeared in theater until television was invented in the 1950s. However, making a serial in the late 1930s and the 1940s isn't the same as making a serial in 1915. The technology had evolved. So I have nothing against superhero serial per se, but all the five serials I needed to exclude were superhero serials.
