Did you mean Maurice Jarre? The father of Jean-Michel Jarre. He composed the Soundtrack of Dr. Zhivago. ... and several other.

Just to clarify: by composers of the 21st century, do you mean that only composers who have composed for films or television series are eligible making their debut in the 21st century?

I was wondering the same thing. Most of my favorite composers were best known for the work they did in the last century. Hell, some of them didn't even survive into this century. Hans Zimmer is one whose work stands out in my mind concerning movie music from the past twenty years. He had been around a long time too, but Christopher Nolan's productions elevated him even more.

I really like Basil Poledouris's music, but I didn't know he counted as a 21st century music composer. Some of these others are also very memorable, but not for musical scores from the last two decades.

I'd pick Corpse Bride of The Night Before Christmas in Concert, because these are very big marks in his over-all work. Chicago also is of excellent quality, but I guess the other two movie-titles are more associated with him in public.

I mean he did  those  as a composer pre 2000 and  afterwards. I did not really enjoy adding the full name to every movie they did because of the long titles. 

I dont think it would be a problem because I think almost all imdb users know that star wars and so on have been realesed after the 2000’s

Just to note, as counter-intuitive as it is by today's standards (because the way we think of decades), the first year of every century ends with a one not a zero, e.g. year 2001 aka MMI is the first year of the 21st century, and the last year of every century ends with a zero not a nine, e.g. year 2000 aka MM is the last year of the 20th century. I try to bring this up on the forum as often as possible.

Noted, I am from Sweden and therefore we use another type of century calendar, therefore I can understand you’ve encountered a lot of Scandinavians. I refer how we do it from wiki

Composing credits are for sure something to write on your resumé but to even compare someone to Zimmer or John Williams it does not come down to credits, it comes down to leading a great composing group or alone and doing it so different or so matching like Göransson did with the western reference in the series ”The mandalorian

@edwardhedelius1​ So what you are saying basically is that you don't intend to add any of the suggestions, regardless of how good or bad they might be?  Maybe you could try listening to some of the theme songs of some of the movies listed.  

I'd take Henry Mancini, Elmer Bernstein, or Jerry Goldsmith over ANYBODY on your list but Williams (and he is in the same class with these three).  Writing the scores to superhero movies or cheesy sitcoms does not make you a great composer.

Also, almost all of the years you listed are way off.  Star Wars is not from 2001.  The first Harry Potter was not from 2009.  Your years on Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park are also way off.
