Oh, yikes, this was difficult. This list is a bit different from the one I did for ElMo's poll a few years ago: one film came out after I made that list (my beloved 'Florida Project' --  some of you may remember my incessant chatter about it in 2017 and 2018) but the others were all out well before and reflects how hard it is to narrow it down to ten. (At least five are the same, though.) This was fun. 

...So here are my favorite ten:

ps: I just realized that on this list there are two films from 1994 and two films from 1991, yet each of those years represent only 1% of the movies that I've rated on IMDb. 

There are also no films from the 70s, although I consider that to be one of my favorite cinematic decades. And the Coens don't have a movie on this list but I often consider them to be my favorite filmmakers. Most of the directors of these films are among my favorites, though.
