Live Poll: IMDb Poll Board: Favorite Movie About Independence

Movies about independence capture the spirit of self-determination, and the pursuit of freedom. These films explore themes of liberation, rebellion, and the struggle for autonomy in various contexts, be it on a personal, societal, or national level. This poll is dedicated to the fight for freedom and independency. Here are IMDb poll board members' favorite movies about independence.

Which of these movies with a sense of independence is your favorite?

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls565890289/

Poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/yFZcH0sRXPg/

Notes/Rules:

1. Max 2 choices per user.

2. I am taking a liberal meaning of independence. It's not just nation's independence, rather from any kind of restrictions (that includes nation's independence though), but a positive one.

3. A sentence from the member about the kind of independence it represents would be great.

Mild digression:

Has anyone ever noticed a movie where ALL THE RATINGS have been removed.

I suspect Earth (IV) was massively review bombed. It came up in my advance search for movies with independence as a keyword and in the plot. I think I rated it a 9/10. I vaguely remember the director was under constant controversy. I thought I remember that this wasn't filmed in India but in Bengal or somewhere else but I guess I'm misremembering that part.

They even scrubbed the production/release year from the movie's IMDb page. They also sanitized all release dates from the release date page.

Added you pick.

Earth (1999) was India's official entry for Oscars that year. I don't think there would have been controversy at least at that time. The ratings/votes are now enabled again on the title.

I know. I created a data issues thread on this bizarre incident.
