That movie was one of the first to come to my mind when I saw the subject heading of this thread.

Personally, I think there are enough notable scenes to fill seperate TV and movie polls twice over, if you want. I filled thirty-five slots from "Game of Thrones" alone, for instance. Plus, 'Forrest Gump' had at least four big reunions in a single movie.

I already made a poll about romantic reunions, where Jesse & Celine and Forrest & Jenny are included.

I considered making two lists, as I wasn't sure if I should include friendships as well as family. Although, some friendships can be like family, so in a way it works, and I thought it was a nice contrast to my other poll. Right now there are only 9 "friend" options, so maybe I can make room for them.

I don't remember every reunion from Forrest Gump. Which one do you think I should include?

And which characters reunite in The Joy Luck Club?

@Jessica My point is simply that there so many options that I doubt you will run out or not be able to fill a poll. So, I don't think a broad scope is necessary or think that notable options could be left off if the scope is too broad.  I think keeping the Friends & Family combo is a good idea for two reasons, it is a common pairing or saying and it makes a lot grey area family pairings a non-factor. Whereas, I think a media type division along movie and TV lines makes more sense and is more clear-cut and more definable.

IMHO, there are three big Forrest-Jenny Reunions in Forrest Gump @ *1) Washington D.C. Reflecting Pool (anti-war rally) 2) Greenbow, AL (grass cutting scene) 3) Savannah, GA (meets Forrest Jr. /post bus stop scene) and the big *Lieutenant Dan Shrimping Boat Reunion (first mate scene) @ Bayou La Batre, AL.

So, maybe the scene where Forrest & Jenny run into the middle of the reflecting pool after realizing they both are among the anti-war rally attendees:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109830/mediaviewer/rm783989249?ref_=ttmi_mi_nm_sf_62

and the one where Forrest upon seeing Lt. Dan runs off the boat in happiness:

The characters technically don't reunite in The Joy Luck Club, so much as meet for the first time, The meeting was suppose to be a reunion between Sunyan and her twin daughters that she gave up in China to come to America. But, since she had recently passed, it turns into a first meeting between her American daughter and her Chinese twin daughters, rather than a reunion and whole movie builds up to this scene and the revelation?

Thanks, I added Forrest and Dan's reunion. I can't include Forrest and Jenny in this poll - even though they started as friends, they were eventually husband and wife, so any reunion scene between them is romantic.

Thanks for clarifying The Joy Luck Club, I agree it probably doesn't count.

Added John and Jenny, thanks.

Frank & Melissa's reunion is romantic and won't be included in this poll.

Are they all one family? Friends?

@Jessica, I would say it is a judgement call. The Birthday scene is comprised of Scott Lang (Ant-Man) and his biological daughter Cassie, as well as, his significant other Hope van Dyne (Wasp) and her parents, Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. So, technically there is no "official" marriage between Scott and Hope, but it might qualify as a common law marriage. But, based on how close they all are, I would call them a family.

@Jessica This is the reunion you would want to add from  among these characters. Janet van Dyne reunites with her husband, Hank Pym and daughter, Hope van Dyne after being lost in the Quantum Realm for thirty years in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). It was from the prior movie and I couldn't find an online movie image with the three characters re-uniting. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5095030/mediaviewer/rm2006008832?ref_=ttmi_mi_nm_sf_27

It seems to be two different scenes? One where she reunites with her husband (romantic) and another where she reunites with her daughter (all three are in the same scene). Here is an image: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5095030/mediaviewer/rm1874749696?ref_=ttmi_mi_nm_sf_24

@Jessica The three pictures progress through different scenes from Hank & Janet reuniting in the Quantum Realm to Hope & Janet reuniting once Hank & Janet return from the Quantum Realm to a post-credit scene where Hank, Janet & Hope oversee Scott's going to the Quantum Realm. IMHO, the one you have already between mother and daughter is best for your purposes (family, non-romantic). FYI, all three are together in these last two scenes, it is just hard to get an image with all three (Hank, Janet, Hope) in the same frame.

@Jessica I just watched the movie, I am not a super hero expert, but in my opinion it is a couple: Antman+Wasp and  his in-laws.

Another picture:

Thanks, but as urbane pointed out, this scene is not a reunion.

I have added the reunion between Hope and her mother from the previous movie, and requested a re-push.

>this scene is not a reunion.

It is the last scene of the movie.
