@Jessica Maybe if I put the link of a Biography movie about Tolkien and write in the text that it represents the books it could be good

The 1980 version of "Return of the King" was made by a completely different group of people than the 1978 Lord of the Rings.  LOTR was a theatrical version by Ralph Bakshi.  The ROTK was made for TV by Rankin and Bass.

They should be listed separately as they really have nothing to do with each other.

At first glance, it seems inconsistent to lump all the Peter Jackson trilogy movies into one option, but not to do the same with the 1978 and 1980 animation films covering the same book titles. I get that this poll suggestion has evolved to where it is today.

Plus, the answer notes tags are very inconsistent and I think using the term "version" is the wrong term to use here in this evolved poll suggestion.

In reality, you are comparing six stylisticly different interpetations of Tolkien's work made by distinctly different production teams and production companies. It would be better to ask about that, as it better divides the groups, as they as presently sorted. Plus, I think it is really the underlying theme of the poll suggestion anyways.

FYC, answer note tags
1. Peter Jackson's Wing Nut Productions live-action LotR film trilogy
2. Amazon Studios' Lord Ring of Power live-action streaming series
3. Ralph Bakshi's & Saul Zaentz Films animated Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring chapter
4. Jules Bass and Arthur Rankin, Jr. & Bass-Rankin Production's melded live-action/animated LotR The Return of the King chapter
5. J. R. R. Tolkien's original three-volume LotR book trilogy
6. Any LotR Video Game [multiple platforms, multiple game publishers]

Alternate Questions:

Which of these production teams or production companies' interpretation of 'The Lord of the Rings' is your preference?

or

Which of these stylized interpretations of J. R. R. Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings' is your favorite take?

Also, personally, I would use Peter Jackson's 'Two Towers' film, as the standard bearer for option #1, so all three books will be represented and there are not two Fellowship of the Rings movies ,(#1 & #3) listed out of the six listed options.
