Thanks for the reply. You're right, i should replace Homelander for somebody who would be also stuck.
Maybe the Nanny. Her voice is torture on a whole new level. 

I think Fartman lives in my building. So i go through that nightmare at least once a month.

Just: There are many suggestions already made. That's a kind, which could have been made before. It's good to check the forum, if someone else has already made exact that suggestion or an suggestion that's too close to your own. Samee title would also be not allowed. Sometimes two different polls are titled the same accidently- The an admin or an attentiv user could contact you about that in the ideas tread. I've checked it by entering the word elevator. It found:

I'd say that "Characters You Don't Want to Be Stuck in an Elevator With" sounds more natural. "Characters You Don't Want to Be Stuck With in an Elevator" is also correct, but that sounds a little bit odd and "Characters You Don't Want to Be Stuck in an Elevator With" phrasing is used more often.

I'm from Germany, so English isn't my first language. As I learned it in school, it sounds gramatically wrong. But that's not universal.

Interesting how in Serbia we learnt English from the first grade, and then we got, get this, German, in the fifth grade (in Serbia, the elementary school system is like this: you go to elementary school for 8 grades. In grades 1-4 (7-10 years old), you have a single teacher for all the subjects and a separate English teacher, in grades 5-8 (11-14 years old) you get a dedicated teacher for each subject, in sixth you get physics and chemistry in seventh)!

I guess in Germany they set on pop culture and games. 

We also learn English in schooles, but no so dedicated.

There tends to be a perception that Americans never learn any foreign languages.  I grew up within a dozen miles of the United States border with Mexico.  In grades 1 to 6, we studies thirty minutes of Spanish every day.  When I reached high school (grades 9 to 12), I was required to take two years of a foreign language.  I chose to study Latin for those two years.  In my university days, I was required to have one year of a foreign language and I chose to study Linguistics (which counted) as it gave me a base in learning other languages in the future.   Now, all of that studying is about 50 years in the past.  I can still speak enough Spanish to get by, but the Latin is mostly gone from lack of use.

I know it allows more options, but I was thinking that 20 might make it harder to choose. 10 would keep the poll more focused. But I’m open to suggestions. I don’t know what works best in your experience with polls.

That's right. The more options, the harder it gets. When there is not too much to consider for the voter, it's ok, but when you got 35 options, stuffed with text, it gets so hrd, many voters skip. I once asked chatGPT about that. The most pickaable would be a ten-option-poll with less content. That's easy for everyone.

I for myself didn't follow that marks in my own polls. So many of mine have up to 30, 35 options ...

But yes - them with lesser options often got more votes. A good middle would be less text per option and 15-25 options. A good compromise.

(370+ polls, my best voted poll by counts is my first one, about eight and a half years ago, 2484 votes, 25 options - number of votes is not automatically fix equal to number of options)
