The relationship between Will Byers and Mike Wheeler (Byler) from "Stranger Things" could have been one of the best childhood friends-to-lovers stories ever told, but sadly, we have just witnessed the cruelest queerbaiting in media history. Whether it was elaborate or if they simply chickened out, the Duffers gave up the chance to give us a truly beautiful and groundbreaking gay romance. The evidence was there. Everything was prepared.
