I've not even looked at the list, but as soon as I saw Leon as the first entry, there is no competition. This is one of my all time favourite films, and for a while it was. Depends on my mood, my fave film alters between Leon, Carlito's Way and Shawshank Redemption. I wouldn't mind watching Leon again.
I think sometimes in my younger days I never appreciated Gary Oldman, I think it is because I hated the film The Fifth Element so I kinda gave him a bit of a wide birth after watching that. But he has definitely won me back over.
How many of the old timers remember the great Gary Oldman poll debacle of about fifteen years ago?
Two of the members of the board suggested Gary Oldman polls about the same time. We discussed this and we all felt that it was about time for a Gary Oldman poll. Back in those days, whoever chose the poll that was used each day was someone in the mysterious administration and they never lowered themselves to communicate with us lowely suggestors.
Well, regardless of all of the support we gave having a poll on Gary Oldman, it wasn't picked (either one of the suggestions). In protest, every one of the poll suggestors then submitted their own Gary Oldman poll. THere were about a dozen. As a joke, I even suggested a poll on "Which Gary Oldman poll suggestion is your favorite," linking all of the suggested Gary Oldman polls as the twelve options.
Finally, a Gary Oldman poll (one of the originals) was selected and ran as the daily poll.
It was an example of the monkeys flexing their muscles and trying to take over the zoo.
When I saw this suggestion this morning, I immediately thought of that old experience with Gary Oldman polls.
Now, how many of you are also suggesting Gary Oldman polls?
