https://www.piday.org/million/ You just missed National Casual Pi or Pi Approximation Day on 22 July (22/7). If this suggestion hasn't gone live by then, this would be good for the National Pi Day on 14 March 2023 or next 3/14.

It's a great idea but since you ask about the most inspiring films, how about trying to match the numbers with movies that were meant to elicit good and positive feelings, sorry for being too "PIcky"... The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada: a tale of redemption or John Ford's most Capraesque film: The Three Godfathers It Happened One Night: screwball and comedy but an uplifting story that brought laughs during the Great Depression Four Weddings and a Funeral: why not? :) One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest : perfect Five Feet Apart: A pair of teenagers with cystic fibrosis meet in a hospital and fall in love, though their disease means they must avoid close physical contact. 9 to 5: I didn't see the film but looking at the synopsis, it's a good choice The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers or Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (careful with a LOTR inclusion that might kill all the other options) etc.

@ElMaruecan82 Thank you very much for your feedback, 👍this poll suggestion is just for fun, it doesn't really matter which movie is going to win. You are absolutely right, Two Towers is going to win hands-down. Sorry for my pigheadednesses...

@mariojacobs You might as well fill it out to thirty-five options https://www.piday.org/million/

@urbanemovies If you really are going to infinity, I can't imagine any numbered title media title will not be eligible.

Hi, it's because of the slash "/". I can't edit the text. There is no option for me to edit it. Try www.imdb.com/list/ls089269277 without the slash "/" at the end.

Please add line breaks so the movie titles in the intro don't wrap.

Congratulations, mariojacobs! Happy Pi Day! The Irrational Pi — 3.1415926535... https://www.imdb.com/poll/HJE-DelSfbw/ Not only is pi irrational, but it is also transcendental. An irrational number is a real number that cannot be expressed as a ratio of integers; for example, √2 is an irrational number. We cannot express any irrational number in the form of a ratio, such as p/q, where p and q are integers, q≠0. In mathematics, a transcendental number is a real or complex number that is not algebraic: that is, not the root of a non-zero polynomial with integer (or, equivalently, rational) coefficients. The best-known transcendental numbers are π and e. The quality of a number being transcendental is called transcendence.

It's too bad I didn't see this earlier. I would have nominated "Point Break" to be the second film in the poll after "The Three Musketeers" and before "Ready Player One".

Cool, I had completely forgotten about transcendental numbers. A long time away from school... By the way, I cannot edit the text or title of the thread, as you can see here, I hope: https://imgur.com/a/kT8c00V
