Wikipedia says "Donall" is from Gaelic, same as Donald. "Dane" can mean "from Denmark", but I guess it's possible that it can also be a variation of "Daniel".

@Peter_pbn

Dane: It derives from the Old Norse dani, meaning Dane, which referred to the people of Denmark. The name's etymology also draws from the Hebrew Dan, meaning judge, and combines with the English suffix -e, indicating one who or from. Thus, the name Dane can be interpreted as God is my Judge or From Denmark.
(Donall appears the be Gaelic and, as you noted, does not seem to have any connections to the Hebrew "Daniel.")

@Peter_pbn and @NYVKE ,

Thanks for the review. I did an additional review using a wider set of sources. Sadly, some names that I originally included as variants of Daniel have different origins.

Donall (Irish) - Removed
Actually is variant of Donald

Danuse (Czech) - Removed
Danuse is derived from the Czech word "daně", which means "female deer" or "doe".

Danica (Slavic) - Removed
Danica is a feminine name of Slavic origin that means "morning star" or "Venus":

I initially removed Dane, but decided to put it back in the list.

Dane - Can mean "God is my judge" or "From Denmark"
