Live Poll: Superhero That Would Likely Be an Annoying Roommate (Sep 4)

In celebration of the 13th anniversary of the IMDb Poll, here is a re-creation of an awesome old character poll, one of many that were lost when IMDb disabled character lists and polls. This poll was published on November 20, 2013 and was made by hb, co-creator of the current version of the IMDb Poll.

From this list, which superhero would be most annoying to have as a roommate in a small two bedroom apartment?

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls4117821792/

https://www.imdb.com/list/ls4117821792/copy

Poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/RpwkTlmlQoJxE8afBGysYA/

I sincerely hope hb would be OK with this re-creation of his poll. I happen to love this poll and it's about time it was revived.

I included all the options from hb's original (which can be seen here: https://web.archive.org/web/20140316210840/https://www.imdb.com/poll/JcOoj6c6Kuc/), but I guess suggestions are welcome.

Howard Stern used to dress up as a character called "Fartman."  That would be an annoying roommate to have!

The picture is from him at the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards in the Fartman costume.

I think some of those are villains, but do you have some examples of why Gamora, Drax or Rocket would be annoying roommates?

Just because I love the poll doesn't mean I know anything about superheroes... 😊

Gamora is a stubborn, always sulky humorless alien that couldn't smile anyway. As I'm a predominantly humorous guy, she would easily go on my nerves after a week.

Drax has not only one filter in what he says and no manners. He would scare off anyone who comes to make a visit.

Rocket: I don't have any nerv to search for my things he stole and then get into a senseless and unwinnable altercation about why he shouldn't steal my things. As much as I love him on screen, he would wreck my nerves in real life.

There is no villain among them. Why do you think that?

Watch Suicide Squad and discver that they are at least neutral weirdoes that are captured and forced to carry out the evil missions of Amanda Waller, preciously embodied by Viola Davis. I must admit that I didn't read the comic books, but regarding the movie of James Gunn, they are not really villains. Maybe Peacemaker a little, the epitome of an old white man. Just watch the movie. At some points it's hilariously funny! :D

Regarding the other "heroes":

King Shark wouldn't be nice, being deepest dumb, while trying to convince he's also intelligent. And then eats your guest or yourself, when you accidently cut your finger while preparing a meal. Disregarding the fact that he stinks like the fish he is.

Polka Dot man would wreck my nerve by puking that Polka Dots all around. Polka-Dot Man fires destructive, disintegrating energy polka dots from his body, while struggling with a bizarre alien-virus condition and severe mommy issues.

Ratchatcher two would totally stink me off with the mass of rats surrounding her. Disgusting. One rat is sweet, a few thousands are an epidemy.

I just read the options and got it that this has to be a fun poll. So I will re-consider the other choices.

I've made up some alternates, which you could use, if you want:

Gamora would keep the apartment spotless - mainly because nobody dares to leave a mess around the deadliest woman in the galaxy. Still, every joke would be met with the same look she gives a knife fight: deep disappointment.

Drax would be great at honesty and terrible at literally everything else. “Does this shirt make me look fat?” is not a question you want answered by a man who considers tact an invisible concept.
(Spoiler: Drax: “This dumb tree, he is my friend. And this green wh*re, she too is my -...” Gamora stopped him: "Oh, you must stop!"

Rocket would “borrow” my toaster, my laptop, and possibly one kidney to build a weapon that solves a problem nobody had. Asking for them back would somehow end with the building exploding.

King Shark would eat all the snacks, the furniture, and eventually the guests. He would then apologize in his cheerful shark voice and ask whether anyone has more friends coming over.

Polka-Dot Man would turn every bad day into a health hazard by vomiting glowing, deadly polka dots into the bathroom. And if his mum appears in the hallway again, I’m moving out immediately.

Ratcatcher 2 is sweet, calm, and always surrounded by thousands of rats. I can handle one rat in the kitchen. I cannot handle an entire rat union demanding cheese at 3 a.m.

Thank you, Breu. I added Rocket and Drax. :)

I'll skip the last three because it's ambiguous whether they're superheroes. Also probably best not to add too many options.

How about Daffy Duck as Duck Dodgers!   Just listening to him speak is annoying!

The Flash... because you'd have to listen to his girlfriend's complaining all of the time that he was just too fast in bed and never slowed down to take care of their needs!

@Breumaster   She is recreating an old poll, so she may not add anything.  I was just having fun trying to come up with superheroes that would be annoying.  When you are stuck in bed, anything distractive can be entertainment.

Do you think the Mighty Mouse entry should actually say "It would get incredibly annoying to hear him yell "Here I come to save the day!" when you ask him to pass in a spare roll of toilet paper."?

It said "Here he comes to save the day!" but surely he wouldn't refer to himself in the third person?

@Jessica   I remember Mighty Mouse shouting "Here I Come To Save the Day" many times, so your toilet paper suggestion probably works better.

Totally as an aside, but... I remember watching Mighty Mouse and also the very similar Atom Ant as a small boy.  Atom Ant was probably my favorite of the tiny, miniature superheroes at the time.  I just looked up Atom Ant https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058789/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_5_nm_2_in_1_q_aTOM%20ant and I see that it had a really good cast of people doing the voice over work.  Most of them went on in the 60's and later to much more well known roles.

I don't have AC in my bedroom. I wouldn't mind having Frozone as a flatmate, especially during hot and humid NYC summer nights.

AC's are pushing the Climate change. They cool down - yes. They have hotter outtake than intake - yes (to outside the buildung). They need electric power, which supports the climate change. Except from nuclear power plant, but then it's nuclear! We use a Westinghouse fan at our ceiling. Works fine for about a month we use it per year and doesen't have such a krass e-bill.
