On May 18, 2023, one of the greatest players to have ever play American style football in the fullback position (in fact, a NFL Hall of Fame inductee), and a civil rights activist, and film star, James “Jim” Nathaniel Brown had died. Like Woody Strode before him, he switched to film acting and became “the first black action star*” of the black exploitation film period of the late 60’s and 70’s. Here is a list of his films. Which do you remember Jim Brown the best in?
To discuss him, come to this stadium.
* Silly me! Here I thought Woody Strode in [linkTo=tt0054016]The Last Voyage[/linkTo], [linkTo=tt0054292]Sergeant Rutledge[/linkTo], [linkTo=tt0054331]Spartacus[/linkTo], [linkTo=tt0053183]Pork Chop Hill[/linkTo], and Sidney Poitier in [linkTo=tt0057259]The Long Ships[/linkTo] and [linkTo=tt0051525]The Defiant Ones[/linkTo] beat Brown to that title. You got to give credit to the ones who came before.
