Live Poll: R.I.P. Jean-Louis Trintignant

Jean-Louis Trintignant passed away on June 17, 2022. He will sorely be missed by cinephiles of all around the world and of all generations.

Jean-Louis Trintignant raised to stardom alongside Brigitte Bardot in Roger Vadim And God Created Woman (1956), becoming an icon to the French New Wave. His career didn't stop there, he would went on to play for virtually all the great european directors of his era from Claude Lelouch A Man and a Woman (1966) to Bernado Bertolucci The Conformist (1970), without forgetting his Cannes performance in Costa-Gavras' Z (1966). In recent years, to the skeptics, he confirmed that he was still one of the greatest French actor playing the judge in Kieslowski's Three Colors: Red (1994), Georges in Michael Haneke's Golden Palm winning Amour (2012) and an another Georges Happy End (2017).

Which film in which Jean-Louis Trintignant plays a major role is your favorite?

He doesn't seem to appear in Les Liaisons Dangereuses (2022), which is still in post production.

Maybe you meant another film

Everything should be done now. I correct the spelling mistakes, and the correct Les liaisons dangereuses was the 1959 version.

@cinephile ,

Thank you for making the corrections.

There is still a minor typo:

Claude Lelouch'S A Man and a Woman (1966)

To:

Claude Lelouch's A Man and a Woman (1966)
