Live Poll: Post-Apocalyptic Movies

I think you can include this part in the list as well: 

"The Lunar eclipse on July 27, 2018 will be the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century. Also, Planet Mars will be the closest it has to Earth in 15 years on the same night. 

Christian conspiracy theorists and doomsday preachers said that the moon will take on a deep red hue during a total lunar eclipse, an event supposedly foretold by the Bible and claims about the coincidence as the start of an apocalyptic era."

But what are the odds that a poll like this does not already exist?

Twelve Monkeys (1995)

Omega Man,  I am Legend, Oblivion, Escape from NY.

Quite a few great movies there: George A. Romero's Dead films, George Miller's Mad Max series, Escape from New York... Mad Max (1979) is actually one of my all-time favorites, but it's hard for me to percieve it as post-apocalyptic compared to sequels. It has a dread of something horrible happening any time now (and according to canon it ends three days before the nukes go out) while we se a personal apocalypse in Max's life. I'd say it's more of a pre-apocalyptic movie.

Also you should probably add Escape from L.A. (1996) in the description of Escape from New York. It's a bumpy ride and guilty pleasure, but ending makes out for it. 

I was also tempted to suggest The last days of Earth (2017) but I'm biased since I starred in this one. ;) Also it is more of pre-apocalyptic as well.

'Good poll! Of the movies I've seen, it's a tough choice but maybe 'Escape from New York.' 

I noticed one typo: the word "been" is missing as shown in bold below.
