Third part better than the original
Toy Story 3
The Prisoner of Azkaban
Third part as good as the original
The Return of the King
The Last Crusade
Third part good but not as much as the original
The Bourne Ultimatum
The Return of the Jedi
Third part worst than the original
The Dark Knight Rises
The Five Armies
Godfather Part III
I have not seen the rest.
Between the two that were better than the original. I like Toy Story 3 more, but Prisoner of Azkaban is the biggest improvement.

Rocky III (1982) - Clubber Lang and Thunderlips
Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994) - always funny
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) - Tina Turner and Angry Anderson
