IMHO, the introduction is lacking by not mentioning his failures and his involvement with The New Show (1984), The Kids in the Hall (from 1989 to 1995), Sunday Night (from 1989 to 1990) and the year ranges, as well as, including the fact he has success with different casts and different host (an incredible feat to keep recreating that magic in a bottle and to last fifty plus years). It is not really on topic when everything is speaking to his television work and the question is about his film work.

The Kids in the Hall (from 1989 to 1995)
The Late Night series (since 1993)
The Tonight Show (since 2014)

Also, the title shouldn't be Lorne Michaels — Saturday Night Live (SNL) Creator as his involvement with SNL is common knowledge and the question is about his movie producing and includes projects outside the SNL realm, so the title and the question are not connected other than the Lorne Michaels part. If you want to limit the answer pool to partnerships with former or current cast members, I could see mentioning Saturday Night Live in the title then, but again the question doesn't ask about his SNL work exclusively as stated.

My philosophy now is to keep it the SIMPLEST : one liner (optional) + question + discuss here. I even thought I wrote too much. That's why there is a hyperlink. Whoever wants further information can click on the hyperlink.

I agree with you about the title.
First: "Saturday Night Live (SNL)" is a very powerful name.
I wanted to create something like a "harmless" clickbait.

Second: it is true, he is the creator.
Third: I am not sure everybody knows about his involvement with SNL. SNL fans do.

@mariojacobs The point is the title is not what the poll is about.

There have been a fair amount of Lorne Michaels documentaries and biopics out in the past year, coupled with the 50-year SNL anniversary the past year. So, I doubt anyone that is taking this poll would be in the dark about his involvement at this point. I don't even think that with all the recent press and hoopla that it wasn't considered common knowledge before. The few people that still don't know that he was SNL's creator wouldn't even be on this website on the first place.

However, his involvement in other things may be news to some, including his involvement in producing former SNL cast's movies and how extensive his movie producing career has been.
