The film became one of the earliest cult comedy hits

especially those near colleges,
would run the film at special screenings

Can it be a short film?

if yes: Fireworks (1947) by Kenneth Anger, a film 100 years ahead of its time.

Otherwise maybe:

Mon oncle d'amérique (1980)

Titane (2021)

Tenue de soirée (1986)

Le bonheur (1965)

Tacones lejanos (1991)

Naked (1993)

In the Cut (2003)

High Life (2018)

Lynch: Lost Highway (1997), Mullholland Drive, Eraserhead, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me

Time and Tide (2000)

Vargtimmen (1968)

Indagine su un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto (1970)

It depends on how you define crazy. I love unconventional films. Except for Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, all films listed above are at least 8/10. (If it isn't listed I probably haven't seen it ( e.g. Cronenberg and Late Godard films.)

What do you mean with crazy? The weirdest? And in a good way or a bad way?

@Hoekkie

It just what you (each individual board member) think is crazy, however you define it, however you feel what crazy is.

I didn't think of good or bad while creating the list or picking my movie but I believe it is in a good way. Bizzare and inexplicable movies that amazes you but leave a weird feeling inside you.

I mean when you watch a movie, where things that are happening are so complex and surreal and insane in nature which no one can define (sometimes not even the writer or director), something that you have never seen or imagined before.

It's like, if I ask you, when was the last time you watched a movie and thought that was the craziest, the truly craziest, shit you have ever seen and you were amazed by it.

(I hope you understand because I'm not good at explaining my feelings or thoughts and thats why I cannot write reviews either.)

Thanks for the explanation.

It makes it more clear I think.

I will pick: Freaks (1932)

Got a head full. The most interesting were:

Les vacances de Monsieur Hulot

Braindead

Meet the Feebles

Un chien andalou

U-Turn

Hardcore Henry

The Cell

Silent Hill

1408

Identity

Requiem for a dream

Since Requiem for a Dream is Brijesh's pick, I would pick 1408.
