Live Poll: I Just Don't Get It

There are actors whose fans think is the absolute greatest to exist. THEY LOVE THEM. They are the greatest actor to ever tread the boards. These fans can wax rhapsodic for hours about the merits of their beloved actors. They inspire an almost cult-like following. By the same token, other viewers can look at these same actors and think, "I just don't get it."  Which of these actors who fall into the above description do you just NOT GET? I simply acknowledge that everyone on your list has devoted fans and I understand (but do not necessarily agree) why someone could be a fan. You think every person on this list has earned all of their accolades?No one on your list deserves all their accolades.

I would agree with Dan. I would try to temper the statement, I can see some merit in just about everyone listed, whether or not they are my "cup of tea". Although, I don't think your statement or question is that unreasonable. I have had the same thought myself. I often find that feeling to be based on a lack of information or not seeing the whole picture. Kristen Stewart would be a good example, some "haters" may have not seen her work in Camp X-Ray and other indies and don't have an appreciate beyond the Twilight role or the more commercial fare.

A couple of your personal acquaintance calling them great doesn't make them fit to qualify for this question.Some of the people I know call David Spade,Adam Sandler and the like ,the greatest but that doesn't make them eligible for this question.

So I'd have to somehow know the tastes of the general world and not base it off of personal experience with fans of them? Um, okay. I don't agree on Adam Sandler not having huge fans, either. I suppose we just don't agree.

Personal experience can be a basis for forming an opinion but it's not always the correct metric for judgement. Tastes of the general world(at least the internet population) can be studied on online platforms like tumblr,imdb and the like. Anyway let's agree to disagree I guess
