Live Poll: Galaxyquest vs. The Orville

While Star Trek (1966) and its associated properties has been a major part of the zeitgeist for the last sixty years there have been many satire and homage series or movies that have their own large following.

Which of these two (Galaxy Quest (1999) or The Orville (2017)) most well known titles is your favorite?

themoviesmith,

Please change the title of your list from:

Face-Off: Galaxyquest vs. The Orville

To:

Face-Off: 'Galaxy Quest' vs. "The Orville"

Notes:

1. Please use correct spelling of film titles.

2. Film titles should be enclosed in single quotes.

3. Television series titles should be enclosed in double quotes.

themoviesmith,

FYI:

The 1999 sci-fi comedy movie Galaxy Quest was a loving spoof of Star Trek and Trek fandom. It even shows up on some “best of Star Trek” lists. Now Star Trek’s Simon Pegg is the latest tasked at a Galaxy Quest follow-up. ...

I haven't seen The Orville, but I enjoyed Galaxy Quest a lot when it was originally released.

Curiosuly, I Watched Galaxy Quest as a kid and with no idea about Star Trek or their fans. I'll watch it again someday, now that I know the series and the fandom around it it may be more amuzing.

'Good one! : )

I haven't seen The Orville yet but I really liked Galaxy Quest, especially Alan Rickman and Tony Shaloub's performances. I haven't seen it in a long time so I think I'll watch it again soon. Thanks for reminding me of this movie!

May I suggest just a two small edits to the intro? (Below in bold; the second edits is an added comma)
