The Book of Boba Fet was such a disappointment after a great start. Elements from left field were just thrown in. Like "Cad Bane" as a western bad-guy, just as an alien done with CGI. Making a nod to such westerns is great, bringing wholesale character including black hat and a "six-gun"... Not cool. I suppose it was based on a particular film, but I can't be bothered to find out, since I hated it so much. Also, I think most people and even critics didn't get that the over-decorated scooters of Dash and her gang echo the "Mods" from the Who's film The Kids are Alright. This was a real trend in the UK in the late 50s (60s?). It was totally out of place, hardly anyone got the connection, and just looked bad. This series had the feel of too many cooks spoiling the soup, but maybe it really was all burnt out Favereau. A shame.
