Live Poll: Face-Off: Justice League vs. The Avengers

Justice League vs. The Avengers: Who Would Win?

DC and Marvel have been going head-to-head for decades. Yet, nothing stokes geek rage like the argument over which team would win in a fight.

You cannot be a comic nerd and not have asked who would win in a fight — the Justice League or the Avengers?

Note: This poll is NOT about the 2017 Justice League movie or any of the Avengers films. It is about the DC and Marvel Comics. But if you're unaware of the comics, feel free to vote based on the film(s) you've seen.

Are you #TeamJusticeLeague or #TeamAvengers?

Original members to each probably say Justice League

After all the members the Avengers have recruited over the years have to say Avengers. Squirrel Girl throws a wrench into the plausibility of a fair fight.

Don't mind me asking a random question, but who's "NDbportman"?

Is it Natalie Portman?

Indeed, she is. V for Vendetta is my favorite movie.

Btw if anyone wonders why I didn't include V in this list, it is because he's an anti-superhero.

Good question... to me it's a question of who is less iriitating, lol.
I guess DC; most of the time the characters seem less "look at me!" (except for Aquaman) than the Marvel characters.  But that's just me.  :)

Marvel characters are good too. It's the MCU (the Marvel films), which made them look "irritating" or annoying to true comic fans.

I've never read a comic book in my life, lol, so I don't know anything about the characters outside of the movies.  :)

NarniaisAwesome, just wanted to ask why you've never read a comic book: is it about the social status/age group associated with comics being abstract "kids" (which is very common, if outdated), or you just don't like that form?

Many people in the Post-Soviet countries (and probably beyond) have that inherited bias towards comic books considering them uncultured and rudimentary form of enterainment, essentially reading material for kids with more pictures than words, which is something far from truth. Comics are technically at least as old (arguably older) as movies, and yet cinema is considered a prime example of both art and entertainment in the modern and post-modern ages, while comics are traditionally neglected a pop culture shlock. That neglect is slowly going away, but I personally consider terms like "graphic novel" not helping: it's overused as an affectionate term for comics which are "too good to be comics", while originally term just refers to a singular comic which tends to be roughly similar to book in size and usually tackles more serious ideas...

I don't think I know in person anybody who has never read a comic book.

Avengers stand no chance (unless they recruit each and every superhero who has ever been in the Avengers but then, Justice League could do the same). My vote goes to Justice League.

#TeamJusticeLeague :)

DC > Marvel

DC's Justice League is going to win, both in a fair fight and this poll. A study shows that DC is more popular than Marvel. (both comics and their cinematic universe)

if the Avengers get kryptonite, the fight is over in 60 seconds. Once Superman is taken out, Thor, Hulk, and Ironman alone could destroy the rest of the JLA

BONAFIDE BOSS,

Sadly, there is an existing poll that is very similar:
Face-Off: Team DC vs. Team Marvel

Yep, I saw that before creating this list.

I'm not talking about the whole DC/Marvel universe, only The Avengers and Justice League.

I'm not sure whether or not the author of that poll was talking about DC/Marvel comics.

But the poll indicates that it was referring to the movies (since it mentions the name of the actors who portrayed those superheroes).

In my poll, I'm not talking about the movies.

Does it matter?

Yes, you see, Avengers and Justice League comics have more superheroes than in the movies. There's more difference.

BONAFIDE BOSS,

There may be enough difference to make your poll viable. I'd like to get feedback from others.

The only one that can resist is Superman. Once they get him knockout the almighty Thor with his Stormbreaker will make a party with the rest of them.

Characters who can beat Thor beside Superman:

- Shazam (almost same as superman)
- Flash (Thor won't even see him coming)
- Wonder Woman (had a stalemate once)
- Doctor Fate (A wizard who deals in magic like Doctor Strange but 10x more powerful than him)

=====

Batman. (not saying he can beat Thor, which is most unlikely. Almost impossible, but he can take down more 25% of the Avengers). Don't underestimate him just 'cause he doesn't have any superpowers. Batman can beat almost anyone if he has the time to prepare for it.

There are more, but I don't remember them at the moment.

In Infinity War Thor with only one strike demolished Thanos who considered the strongest being in the universe while he has wearing all infinity stones. That's enough for me to consider him the G.O.A.T.

Like Dan's note above, I'm not sure if this is too similar to the older poll but, in case it's not, I'll suggest one small edit to the intro:

DC and Marvel have been going head-to-head for decades, yet nothing stokes geek rage like the argument over which team would win in a fight.

Team Avenger !!! :D
I knew it. But why should advocates of being good and right fight each other? There must be a real evil villain to disbalance the forces of good and evil to bring up Avengers against the justice league. I guess they would fight together against such a bad threat.

It would be an overkill of mass destruction to merge up both worlds of super heroes. But on the other hand it would be funny to see the bad guys *ss beaten up! :D
