I actually live within five miles of Route 66 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have also lived in three other cities/towns that are also on The Mother Road (Moriarty and Tucumcari in New Mexico and Amarillo, Texas). I've been getting my kicks on Route 66 for over 20 years.

I've just tried to let it show on Google Maps. But it is not easy to get it on GM. Is there a special trick to let it show on GM? The common wikipedia entry shows it from chicago (Illinois) to Santa Monica (California). But there are not the little stops shown inbetween.
