Great poll!  My pick: Piglet's Big Movie.
I suggest you also add the name of the movie to each image des.

Thanks.
I prefer do not emphasis the titles, for more chances the moments be voted more than movies or series.

Ah, I see now - you are right; people would vote for their favorite movie and not moment.  Thanks you.  :)

NarniaisAwesome, thank you for this suggestion.
Hoping for better, I did not count on a possible loss of images...
Now I think the titles are to be listed as a protective measure (thanks to Dan).

Finally, the list is supplied with direct links to titles.

On Chromium 72, I experience a little problem with image lists (including this one). When "quote" or "list" are used, the descriptions repeat the previously viewed ones partially until an enforced refresh. So two questions here:
  1. Are there any other keys to stylize the text?
  2. Will this problem be the same for a live poll based on such list?
Thank you in advance for the above explained.

I don't know how your formatting will look in the poll layout. It may work.

Some of the descriptions are fairly long. If you can find ways of shortening them it may work better for a poll.

Peter, thanks for your feedback.
Eight moments are corrected to shorten the descriptions (see the set of posts below).
May be they need a "fresh eye" to recheck. No problem to return some to their initial state if needed.

MAthePA,

I share Peter's concern about formatting problems.

If/when this poll goes live will you be able to make adjustments fairly quickly.

Dan, it is initially my concern, and I still have no answer. Any answer. Only presupposings. Could you please tell me for sure that the result is unpredictable, or it would be that or such. Please. Because it is not a normal way when somebody's pulling me to make big redone and then I have no overlook for the efforts - whether they right or wrong - for a month. I was polite here and made no reasons for others to depreciate my efforts in such a way.

I've shortened the quotes greatly. If there are any technical limits, I'd like to know them to understand what I could do further to prevent issues, maybe some options will be excluded.

"Because it is not a normal way when somebody's pulling me to make big redone and then I have no overlook for the efforts"

Sorry, but just because I tried to answer your question and made a suggestion, it doesn't make me responsible for editing the contents of your list.

A moment of this poll:

The options for this poll have been selected from over 100 scenes where the word "eureka" is used in the classical meaning (not as a name).

All the descriptive quotes are original, from the "reel".

I'm open to suggestions how the descriptions could be shortened.
Please take into account following:
  1. This poll is inviting to vote for the "eureka!" moments, not the films, nor characters, neither actors;
  2. The voters may have not seen but dive deep into the moments, thanks to the photos and quotes are enough descriptive; I've added a lot of new backdrops and mirrored quotes from the originals to achieve this effect;
  3. The descriptions were strict quotes when this poll was suggested, except their [descriptive parts in brackets]; I look for the ways to shorten them, but this should not lead to ruin the meaning and mood of the moments -- otherways I'd rather exclude such moments off the options.
The parts of descriptions to shorten are bold-italic.

Piglet's Big Movie moment shortened this way:

Pooh : What are we going to find?
Christopher Robin : The North Pole.
Piglet : Is it scary?
Pooh : What is it?
Tigger : Yeah, we never found one of them before.
Christopher Robin : Well, it's a thing you discover.
Pooh : Are bears good at discovering it?
Tigger : And Tiggers?
Christopher Robin : Everyone will come along. And if you see the North Pole, shout "Eureka!"
Pooh : Why would we do that?
Christopher Robin : Because it means: "There's the North Pole."
Piglet : Eureka!
ALL : Where?
Tigger : Gesundheit!
Piglet : Sorry. I was just practising.

Twin Peaks moment shortened this way:

Windom Earle : Eureka! It's fear. That's the key. My favorite emotional state. And all this time, it's been staring me right in the kisser... These night creatures that hover on the edge of our nightmares are drawn to us when we radiate fear. It's their bread and butter. A perfect symbiosis. Oh, nature, perfect in design and aspects. You do not disappoint!

Alvin : Eureka! I found the cheese balls! [Pours out the cheese balls and Simon catches them with a bowl]
Simon : Ughh! Alvin, what are you doing? Don't make a mess!
Alvin : Cannonball. [Jumps into the bowl of cheese balls]

Bob's Burgers moment shortened this way:

[Bob Belcher calls Zeke to taste the soup and to tell what it needs.]
Zeke [tastes the soup and starts improving] :
Uh, let's try some of this leafy stuff. [Adds it.]
Some of these orange flakes that look like fish food... [sniffs]. Forget it, forget it.
Let's invite some of this to the party! [Tastes after spicing.] Ooh la la!
Zeke [takes next spice box] :
Paprika? Eureka! Get your ass in here, girl!
[While stirring:] Oh, man. Oh, boy. All right, I probably wrecked it.

The Penguins of Madagascar moment shortened this way:

[Penguins preparing the antidote to return Mort be bound again]
Skipper : Tell me you've got that antidote figured out.
Kowalski : Got nothing. No matter what I do, the formula's molecular structure fails to achieve low-energy orbitals.
Private : Tart. Have you tried adding sugar?
Kowalski : Please. This is an intricate problem that requires that... Sugar! Of course. That's the answer. The monosaccharide will stabilize the entire solution.
Skipper : Good job, Private.
Private : Well, I thought it needed the monostereo... thing.
Kowalski : Eureka! This will do the trick.

Profs. Hubert : Put on the hat, Guenter! You're the only one who can save us!
Guenter [puts a banana on head and starts chewing the hat]
Profs. Hubert [muttering] : Stupid monkey.
Leela : Not there!
Profs. Hubert [shouting] : Keep trying!
Guenter [tries the hat on buttocks]
Fry [giggling]
Guenter [wears the hat] : Eureka! The hat goes on the head! It's all so obvious now!
Leela : Help us, Guenter!
Guenter : My goodness! Hang on! I need to do some calculations! [He picks up the banana and draws some diagrams in the soft mud.]

[Starsky tries to bribe Big Earl]
Big Earl : I tell you what, I do like your blonde friend here. Let me see your belly button.
Hutch : No. What... Let's go. Come on.
Starsky : Hold on a second. The guy's obviously a freak. Just show him a little skin. Show him your stomach. Nobody's here. Come on.
Big Earl : Are we cool?
Starsky : Yes, we're cool.
Hutch : [Shows his stomach...]
Big Earl : Oh, eureka! God, that's nice. It's like a little bowl of oatmeal with a hole in it.

The Internship moment shortened this way:

Mr. Chetty [video-conference] : While internally dogfooding a new product, a number of Googlers reported a bug that disabled their audio. All two million lines of that code are in the source files. Your job: find the bug.
Yo-Yo : Scan the logs for any red flags.
Stuart : See what exceptions were thrown.
Lyle : I always start by drawing up strategies to sift through the code.
Billy [to Nick] : Code, right? Code, right? Codes...
Nick : Uh...
Billy [to all] : So at the end of the day, we're looking to kind of break the password here, right? Maybe the answer's in the question. Maybe it's something with bug.
Nick : Eureka.
Billy : Bug like fly. The Fly... Is Chetty a cinephile?
Nick : Goldblum.
Billy : Goldblum!
Nick : Boggles my mind that no one has a notebook out. You guys are focused on writing this gibberish. Maybe that's helpful, maybe it's not, but I guarantee you what we're saying is helpful.
Lyle : Guys, we're looking for a bug, not a password. They're different things.
Nick [to Billy] : Keep going with that human connection...

It was the time when I used to backdrop a whole movie for contributing, whenever needed only one image for a list or poll. This current poll includes only 8 or 9 options that were previously supplied with images, and all the rest are based on my backdrops ))) Plus one movie was backdropped but I changed my mind as to inclusion.

By the way. Thanks to this poll where Moonlighting needed more backdrops, then one more idea was born, inspired by the scene.

This is a very cool idea. Like Peter and Dan, I'm not sure how the formatting will transition to a poll: I had a poll, for example, that would not push because of a dollar sign ($) in the title of a movie. I suppose we'll find out unless you want to play it safe and simplify the format.

I really like the opening, too, by the way. Could you cite the source of the quote, though?
Thanks. : )

Hi, Ruby.

If you mean to replace the full quotes with their very short variants linked to the source, I've thought of such variant as the last among possible. The last, because this way the great part of all things stay aside. The main initial idea is the full virtual presence and involvement for all voters, even those who haven't watched the moment on screen. To provide this, the quotes describe the whole moment, as well as images are also "quoted" for this particular moment. There are some rare exceptions when no need to use the images of strict relation.
(If I've got correct the question)

And sure, I see no problem at all to avoid such signs: "ʕȫʔ"
)))

BTW, maybe the youtube links has to be disabled there. No problem, they can be moved into this topic, or deleted completely.

PS: with this poll, the main problem for me is not because it's not alive. The real problem is that I've done a lot and spent a hell of time to make this to be suggested, then redone, and no feedback for those additional efforts, neither for perspectives. Oops.

rubyfruit76, thank you.
I replaced all the "ʕȫʔ" combinations.

Anyway, people, the list this poll is based on is viewed more than hundred times, so I'm happy with that )
