My favorite is Matthew McConaughey as Cooper, in Interstellar (2014), even thought he got an Oscar at the Dallas Buyers Club, at least in 2014 he deserved to be nominated for an Oscar with his performance in Interstellar.

'Good idea for a poll!

I immediately thought of Brooklyn Prince in 'The Florida Project' but then I saw that you're doing a separate poll for women and girls. 

As for male actors, off the top of my head, here are four of my favorite:

Andrew Scott in 'All of Us Strangers.' 

Delroy Lindo in 'Da 5 Bloods'

Tobey Maguire in 'Wonder Boys'

Paul Mescal in 'All of Us Strangers'

If you had asked for best performances without a nomination, I'd say Robert Shaw in 'Jaws.' That may have been the worst snub in Oscar history but since I don't like the character a whole lot, it's hard to say I like that performance more than any of the above four. 

@jaf_ismael  If it turns out that you run out of room, I'd suggest perhaps requiring that anyone making suggestions have some established presence on the Poll Board: for example, requiring at least 20 comments on the poll board, going back at least one month.
