It is funny how the IMDb Poll Page doesn't recognize "チャンバラ", the Japanese translation. Instead, they utilized "?????".


Fortunately, the poll itself was able to display the Japanese letters.

We've seen this problem with one of Paok's polls when he used the Greek letter Iota instead of the Latin letter I. The poll software has generally not been updated for over six years, whereas the list software was updated around February 2017.

I suspect that the this will display properly on the poll page once it is no longer a Featured poll.

Do you know whether this is part of the Hiragana, Kanji or Katakana Japanese character set?

I suspect that it is in Katakana.
