Poll Suggestion: Fastest National Film Registry Entry

The National Film Registry is an organization administrated by the Library of Congress whose mission is to preserve important films.

"To be eligible for the Registry, a film must be at least 10 years old and be culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

These are the six films to have been introduced to the registry in no more, no less than 10 years.

Which one is your favorite?

Personally, I don't think that Toy Story deserved to be added so fast to the list, I think that the most worthy is Goodfellas.

I don't understand how those people can include documentaries that no one, absolutely no one has seen, but they don't add movies like The Lord of the Rings and The Dark Knight, they are so pretentious!!!

I know!  That's why I chose Toy Story... it's the only one I'd actually seen.  xD

cinephile and Narnia,

Some Films Not Yet Named to the Registry
Each year, we begin the National Film Registry process anew and start from scratch. So if you voted for a film one year but it was not selected, that vote does not carry over to the next year. Films released in 2009 are now eligible for Registry consideration. To give you a few ideas, below are some fairly well-known films not yet selected to the Registry. You may vote for any of these films (one vote per film) or for others not mentioned on the list below. But please do vote: films that receive the most support each year are given special consideration during the process by members of the National Film Preservation Board.
The Lord of the Rings and The Dark Knight have been nominated in the past.

I agree with Pencho that this is a good idea. My vote: Do the Right Thing, with Fargo close behind.

'One small suggested edit in bold below:

These are the six films to have been introduced to the registry in no more and no less than 10 years.
