@Aris_Athanas I am aghast that you didn't pick Tarantino or Scorsese as one of your two favorite directors, in Jessica's IMDb Poll Board's Favorite Directors poll and that no one is showing either of them any love.

@urbanemovies

There is worst than that. Nobody picked Orson Welles, David Lean, Ingmar Bergman and Kurosawa. 76% of director chose are White Anglo-Saxons men and without that percentage would be 88%. 100% are men.

@cinephile I agree. I wanted to pick Robert Wise, because I don't think he gets enough credit. But, I didn't think I can stand by while Akira Kurosawa, David Lean, Stanley Kubrick (since picked), Alfred Hitchcock (since picked), and others go unpicked at all. As much as, it is indication of how more people need to make picks. I think it is indicative of many truly great directors there have been, as well as, how debateable the topic who most the best or made the best films or even was the most popular.

@Aris_Athanas I know you are going to kick yourself, if you miss out on your last chance to participate in Jessica's IMDb Poll Board's Favorite Directors (2 picks per user), especially with all the drum-banging she has done for you to drive participation in your IMDb Poll Board series.

You should pick whoever you want, but there are still remaining some "BIG" names available, including: Isao Takahata, Ingmar Bergman, George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, James Cameron, Guillermo Del Toro, Clint Eastwood, Ron Howard, Todd Phillips, Todd Field, Christopher Columbus, Sam Raimi, Tim Burton, Ang Lee, Rob Reiner, Michael Bay, Joss Whendon, Zack Snder, Tony Scott, Robert Rodriguez, Charlie Chaplin, Paul Thomas Anderson, Orson Welles, William Wyler, John Huston, Howard Hawks, Woody Allen, Robert Altman, Michael Curtiz, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Sergio Leone, Luc Besson, Denis Villeneuve, Patty Jenkins, Nora Ephron, Kathryn Bigelow, Sophia Coppola, Greta Gerwig, Mira Nair, The Wachowski Sisters, Jordan Peele and plenty of others (too many too list).
