I'm tracking this by GMT since that's a standard time zone (from which all other time zones are typically measured) and GMT is also the time zone where IMDb was founded.

@keyword_expert​  A quick update on this … we too are excited about the 10 millionth title.  However, an internal number disagrees with the ATS result count and we have just discovered an issue.  It appears that ATS has missed updates over a number of years resulting in it failing to remove around 30,000 deleted titles from the results.  The team is looking at adjusting this now, but it is likely ATS will exceed 10 million titles and then the number will then drop once the adjustments are made before it hits 10 million for a second (real) time. 

@Col_Needham​ Thank you for that clarification. Sounds like this may indeed involve "blank" titles, which @ACT_1 has speculated about all along.

@keyword_expert​ up to 10,020,407 now (2022-03-24 21:00 GMT) so unless the fix to remove the 30,000 or so deleted titles is live by tomorrow the search result will probably not go back under 10,000,000.

@owenrees​ Very good point. Wow, the numbers really shot up today. As best I can tell, the numbers have grown so dramatically over the past three months mainly because of podcast episodes.

Yes, but some titles have also been deleted over the past day as @Nomissimon10 works to clean up some of the mistaken duplicates. Depending on how efficient and comprehensive he is with his cleanup (and whether IMDb staff assist), we may see the numbers drop significantly.

There is no way to estimate how many duplicate podcast episodes are now on IMDb as a result of the bots, but I would not be surprised if we're talking hundreds of thousands of duplicate titles.
