Suggestion: Favorite Movie Heroine of 2024 (Requesting suggestions)
[Poll and Intro Under Construction]
Hi, I included a few characters from movies that I haven't seen. Although I did some research, it still makes me nervous so if you've seen Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Wicked, Furiosa, Moana 2, or Challengers, please let me know if you don't think the included characters are heroines or if any of those movies are particularly misogynist. Thank you!
Let's support films with women and girls so the movie industry moves towards more equality. We can start by celebrating these female protagonists: which of these heroines from 2024 is your favorite?

@rubyfruit76 Of the films you mention above I have only seen Furiosa so far, but I don't think there's any problem with her being included.

FYC:
Out of the 2024 films I've seen so far I could suggest
Shirley Chisholm from Shirley - Biopic on the first U.S. woman to run for President
Emily Maitlis from Scoop - Reporter helping expose Prince Andrew friendship with Jeffrey Epstein (nominated as TV movie at the Emmys, so I don't know if you want to include those, it is a feature film accoring to the IMDb)
Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - Popular film and sequel to the 1988 film, she faces against the ghost with the most to save her daughter.
Lady Raven from Trap - Shyamalan let his daughter shine in the film so her character plays a very important role as a heroine.
Roxanne Hall from The Union - Just an action comedy so probably should not be a priority, but she is the main secret agent in this adventure and helps save the secret identity of moles all around the world.

@rubyfruit76 ,
For your consideration:
Cabrini (Cristiana Dell'Anna) in Cabrini (2024)
After witnessing disease and poverty in the slums of New York, Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini embarks on a daring journey to persuade the hostile mayor to provide housing and healthcare for hundreds of orphaned children.

IMHO, I think these not listed popular and well-seen movies with female characters or character groups should be in the conversation. I have seen them all and think the characters perform heroic acts and are strong female protagonists.
The subject matter / plot of Blink Twice and The First Omen I don't think precludes their inclusion, as I think the female characters in the end prevails in both and they handle the situation admirably (or as well as can be expected). But, you may disagree.

Elodie in 'Damsel' is a must add as a feminist fairy tale. The main protagonist, supporting protagonists and main antagonist are all female, the title is even an allusion to the fact the female heroes are not damsels-in-distress and pokes fun at the moniker. In fact, the all the male characters play secondary characters in the film.

Swimming English Channel 2024 Biopics
Young Woman and the Sea (2024) is the best choice of the two, IMHO.
Gertrude "Trudy" Ederle* in Young Woman and the Sea (2024)
Trudy Ederle, the first woman and first American woman to swim the English Channel, despite a childhood illness that barred her from swimming as a youth, battling sexism at every turn and overcoming being sabotaged by her own coach.
Mercedes Gleitze* in Vindication Swim (2024)
Mercedes Gleitz, the first British woman to swim the English Channel and her battle against both the cold waters of the Channel and the oppressive society of 1920s England.

IMHO, these are the strongest options from the fifteen unlisted and twenty-five listed options in this post. You may want to list multiple options from the same movie as a single answer option to stretch the total number of options listed (ie Louise and Agnes from Speak No Evil (2024)).
To Be Added Must List Options (IMHO)
Kate in Twisters (2024), Gertrude "Trudy" Ederle* in Young Woman and the Sea (2024), and Eloide in Damsel (2024)
Already Listed Must List Options (IMHO)
Rain in Alien: Romulus (2024), Fransesca Cabrini* in Cabrini (2024), Furiosa from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024), Lee Miller* from Lee (2023), and Samira from A Quiet Place: Day One (2024)

Here are some other not yet mentioned worthy heroine options in movies with between 5k and 25k in IMDb votes that I think should be in the discussion, even though they are not as well-seen yet. There are probably about two dozen in that vote range when you include all the other suggestions made in this thread.
I think you have a solid answer pool of about 40-50 total options now (from a pool of 315 2024 movies that have accumulated 5,000 or more IMDb votes) and can pare it down to the best 35. I would check the movie plots on Wikipedia to help you decide which to include or exclude from the final list based on your own criteria. I don't see any obvious bad choices from any of the suggestions that have been made on this post. I do see there are as many great 2024 heroine movies under 25,000 IMDb votes, as there are in 2024 heroine movies above 25,000 IMDb votes. So, using plot focused criteria to cull the list further will probably yield the best assortment of heroine choices.

I would advocate for including a Civil War (2024) female heroine option in the final answer pool. It is the biggest streaming hit of the year and the 4th most IMDb voted movie of the year. The film has notable stars with Kirsten Dunst and Cailee Spaeny in lead roles and has Sonoya Mizuno in a minor supporting role. Unfortunately, even though they share a scene together, there is no single image of all three together in the same frame. All three are war journalists, with the two lead characters being war photographers and the other supporting character is a war reporter. You could list all three characters, or list just the two main characters, or list them individually (least desirable option). I also advocate for Kate from Twisters (2024) and the all-female superhero team from Madame Web (2024) by virtue of answer options being Top 25 IMDb-voted 2024 movies and having strong heroines. https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature,tv_movie,video&release_date=2024-01-01,2024-12-31&sort=num_votes,desc
