I've not yet watched Pinocchio, and I do kind of wonder if it can compensate for the absence of a performance like Michael Shannon's.

@Jessica It's Pinocchio for Me, altought I would have liked it if he won for Pan's Labyrinth, which is his best film in my opinion.

FYC, As written, I don't see any grammatical errors with your introduction or question. I re-ordered the words to come up with an alternative that flows differently, for your consideration. It basically swaps saying Best Animated Feature twice for mentioning the movie title that earned him the distinction. I think the original wording is fine, but it gives you some options to choose from.

After winning for Best Animated Feature at The Oscars (2023), Guillermo del Toro became the first filmmaker to win an Academy Award for Best Picture and for Best Animated Feature.

Guillermo del Toro became the first filmmaker to win an Academy Award for both Best Picture and Best Animated Feature, winnning for Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022) at The Oscars (2023).
