PS: [MON OCT 26] Favorite Movie, Television, or Streaming Mule Character (Natl' Mule Day)

Which selected fictional movie, television, or streaming mule(s) is your favorite?

Mules have carved out a clever, uniquely stubborn, and symbolic niche in cinema. Filmmakers often deploy mules as distinct characters, narrative metaphors, or tools for dark humor, rather than using them as simple background livestock or transportation to get the main character from point A to point B. National Mule Day marks the anniversary of October 26, 1785, the day George Washington received a pair of mules descended from stock given by the King of Spain. Washington was convinced the mule — the offspring of a male donkey and a female horse — would outwork the horse on American farms and help to build a fledgling country. Mules soon plowed fields, hauled freight along canals and roads, carried prospectors into the gold country, and packed supplies into terrain no wagon could reach. In honor of the hardest working animal in show business or any business, a breakdown of the most creative and memorable ways mules have been utilized across different forms of media. #NationalMuleDay
