The state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II was held on Monday, September 19th, 2022. Funerals are an opportunity to celebrate a life and share our fondest memories of someone who has passed

Queen who? Her Majesty pranks confused American tourists Queen Elizabeth II (had) a good bit of mischief in her — she once pranked a group of American tourists who stumbled upon her on the grounds of one of her castles, but didn’t recognize her. The tourists happened upon Her Majesty outside Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The 93-year-old monarch was dressed in tweeds and wearing a head scarf at the time, and was walking with one of her “protection officers,” the Daily Mail reports. The tourists struck up a conversation with the sweet old lady, asking her if she lived nearby — and whether she’d ever met the Queen. The royal replied that yes, she did indeed live nearby. Then she gestured toward the officer and added that while she had never met the Queen, “this policeman has.” Source: Laura Italiano for the New York Post on September 1, 2019

@urbanemovies ,

My favorite is Queen Elizabeth II as Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom in Queen Elizabeth and Paddington Bear Film (2022) short film.

I've had a fondness for Paddington Bear since my daughters were young.

I've heard the story of Queen Elizabeth II pranking confused American tourist multiple times during the coverage of Queen Elizabeth II's memorials. I really wonder whether the two women ever found out that they had met Queen Elizabeth II.

@dan_dassow That's my favorite too! I missed it when it debuted this summer, so I wonder how well seen it is outside the U.K.

It is certainly speculative, but I think she had the right balance of duty, intellect, awareness of her role and humor about it all.

I likely will add the T-mobile ad to the sketch list too. It is about a decade only.

@dan_dassow I was wondering the same about the pranked American tourists. If they didn't before, I am sure they figured it out this past ten days.

This one is just okay, but belongs due to its trash talking nature, although probably on the sketch/skit list.

I think you better change this to past tense:

The state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will be held Monday, September 19th, 2022 and the day will conclude with a private internment next to her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh in King George VI’s chapel at Windsor Castle.
