I chose to use both because the Emmys "officially" uses both. As well as, as it is helpful to some people who may not realize the name applies to that category now.

They changed the categories last year, and I think it's more than a name change. Last Week Tonight used to be nominated for Variety Talk Series and is now in Scripted Variety Series. It is not primarily a sketch show.

The Google result may be due to site mechanisms.

@Peter_pbn​, It is corrected on the both the thread and on the list. I forgot to do the other before.

It seems like an odd category anyways, and subject to the number of shows being always in flux and the particular type of format they are following. So, I can understand the difficulty of trying to put a pin on it.
