Is there a good reason to limit this to women? There are a lot of reasons to include men, I think, including that by limiting it to women, you don't give a representative sample. There are much more important reasons, as well, such as how we view women and how that promotes objectification (whether we want it to or not), whereas by including men, you automatically bring in the idea of viewing a person as a subject instead of an object. (And since this is a move site, there have been a lot of filmmakers who have worked hard and taken risks to give alternatives to the male gaze.)

And there are also just the pragmatic and aesthetic reasons.For example, there's no way to tell what Cher's wearing, except that it's black. Compare that to the following images, which include men, women, and couples:

Also, this year's theme was Costume Art. Given that and the whole reason that there are Met Galas in the first place, I can't think of a good reason to limit it to women. The whole focus on costumes also allows you to make a much more interesting and entertaining list, I think, that also relates more to movies. : )
