The 60's

Just on television, and in addition to your list, I watched Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Maverick, The High Chaparral, The Wild, Wild, West, Death Valley Days, The Big Valley, The Virginian, and many others on a regular and religious basis.  Yes, a few of these series may have begun in the late 50's, but were at their peak in the 60's.

In the 60's, you had John Wayne AND Clint Eastwood both making big westerns.

Wondering if you handicapped the 60s by not openly mentioning The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

@Tsarstepan fair point.

One would hope the fans of the genre know that.

@riverotter

I knew. It's ok for me, because it would be really unfair for the other whole decades to be compared with such a century buster. But yes, knowing it, I voted for the 1960s. ;D

@riverotter Please remember to move this thread to the praise category, so it sits along the rest of the published polls.
