if you like the genre I recommend the series Pose - season 1. Fun. 

Season 2 not so fun and season 3 I'm not going to watch: seems to be sad (trailer).

It's funny you mention it: I'm starting to watch it tomorrow night. It's been on my "to-see" list for a long time but a former student really wanted to watch it at the same time so we could talk about it and they didn't have time until this week -- plus, we thought it would be a good way to celebrate their graduation and Pride month. I'll finally be watching it and I'm so glad to hear that the first season is fun because, after all of the heavy films and TV that I've watched the past few months, I need some fun. : )

Most of my favorite series follow a similar trajectory: they hooked me with a lot of levity in the earlier seasons and then bring in the sadder and more difficult content (ouch). 

If you like it (Pose), I also recommend Claws - 1st season.

Funny and different. It's not lgbtq.

The 2nd season let me down a little.

3rd season I'll pass...
