So many great films! My vote: either Paris is Burning, Pulp Fiction, or Farewell My Concubine. (Pulp Fiction is probably my favorite but the other two are so beautiful that it's painful, near and dear to my heart, and won't get as many votes.)

Mine would be The Aviator. But you got Farewell My Concubine twice on the list.

Mario, seems you speak the German language very good. May I ask you if you live in Germany? You don't have to answere that if you don't want to.

Did you live there for a long time? Germany's three bigges cities are Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich They call Munich "The Secret Capitol" --> "Die Geheime Hauptstadt" or "World Metropole With Heart" --> "Weltstadt mit Herz". You must have learned much about the Germans. I often see American Youtubers which live in Germany . They are an interesting interface between our countries. I don't know, if it was right to say it that way, but fresh from the heart. ;)

Hello again,

The way I see it, "Pulp Fiction" will blitz that poll and "Reservoir Dogs" and "Amelie" take the remaining spots :)

When you get a highly popular movie from a highly popular director and from the Top 10 of IMDb, it doesn't give any chance to the other movies, no matter how good they are.

I think it wouldn't damage the purpose of this poll if you disqualified Tarantino movies (his directing and storytelling is so unique that we never remember his movies as Miramax productions but Tarantino films)

I would also remove foreign movies on the basis that they are only distributed by Miramax so the company didn't have any effect on the production, I know Weinstein had a saying about the cutting, dubbing and all that stuff but I don't think the company had that much latitude.

Just suggestions...  "Pulp Fiction" in a poll is a real buzzkiller.

Indeed it is. I would exclude them, too. I would do that with a little explanation in the list intro and in the thread intro to clarify that also for the other buddies who make suggestions. But just fyc. The prognosis of ElMo will happen, if not. I'm also pretty sure about that.

ok thank you both for your input.👍 I'll do a social experiment: I removed the Tarantino movies and I've hidden Pulp Fiction in the position one before the last. Reason: I myself only check the first 15-20 (max) items and the last one. Let's see if poll-takers scroll indeed all the way down...

Now you know why I keep most of my polls to 25 options maximum. Especially when they got much text. I don't want to force the people to take a nap in front of their computers.
