that was found in the Libyan desert
after the crew got lost on their 1st bombing mission to Italy.

Five airmen remain with their bomber plane
in the middle of the Libyan desert hoping to be rescued.
It also seems that they have been at the location for 17 years
with nothing else to do but play baseball.
The story of the "Lady Be Good"
was also the basis of the episode "King Nine Will Not Return",
the first episode of season two of the original "The Twilight Zone".
A pilot of a downed WW II bomber comes to in the African desert
and desperately tries to find out what happened to the rest of his crew.

A pretty solid answer pool for the most part. I do think you could upgrade the bottom 20% (under 5k vote options) though. There are better movies available to list: that are more award-winning, that are more well-known, and that are more about being a pilot or flying in general. I listed the ones I would drop, as well as, the unlisted better options that you could replace them with, in my humble opinion. I also think you should have each type of pilot movie represented, IMHO, for example one from the airport disaster genre, one John Wayne pilot movie, one anime pilot/plane movie, etc.
