I like the poll idea, examples and execution. There are a couple minor edits that should be made. There is a typo in the answer option @ #2. Plus, the default standard on IMDb is American English, so favourite becomes favorite here. I think you want to use threesome instead of trilogy here too. Trilogy applies to films not people and implies a film series, which your rules expressly forbid.

FYC,

Answer #2

1)Prestige 2)Batman Film Series

The spelling of The Prestige should be corrected.

FYI, if you change your poll thread title to: Poll Suggestion: Inseparable Trio (Suggestions), you may get more IMDb users to give you threesome suggestions to fill out your answer pool.

I would recommend checking your answers by using the IMDb Collaboration Search Engine @ https://www.imdb.com/search/common/

by typing in the two actors names, then visually checking the results for titles with a shared matching director. It is a great to tool to vet options for completeness, as well as, to quickly test hunches you may have.

FYC, here a couple suggestions to get you started, I think there are literally hundreds of notable trios out there to be listed (the poll maximum is 35 choices though).

IMHO, I consider Coen Bros., a single unit for a couple reasons to fill the director's spot together: 1) it levels the playing field with other two actor and a director comparisons, and 2) Joel for the longest time was the only brother officially getting credit, even though they have always directed as a team. Plus, they have many repeat collaborators that would be perfect for this poll suggestion.

Coen Bros./John Goodman/John Turturro

Coen Bros./George Clooney/Frances McDormand

John Ford/John Wayne/Ward Bond

George Cukor/Spencer Tracy/Katherine Hepburn

Frank Capra/Jimmy Stewart/Jean Arthur

Howard Hawkes/Humphrey Bogart/Lauren Bacall
Ingmar Bergman/Max von Sydow/Bibi Andersson
Paul Thomas Anderson/John C. Reilly/Philip Seymour Hoffman

I'll need the pics to add your suggestions. Can you help me with this? I can add three suggestions to the list.

For your consideration, a popular 1950s two actor & director pairing was between director Arthur Lubin, animal actor Molly (Francis), and Donald O'Connor (Peter). It is a left field option that may garner more than a few votes for their six year and six film collaboration.

Feature Film/TV Episode/Video/TV Movie/TV Special/TV Mini-Series/Documentary/Video Game/Short Film, with Molly, Donald O'Connor (Sorted by Popularity Ascending)

@nazmi_altintas,

It would be a good idea to list the director(s) and the two actors in the notes too, as sometimes the images get removed or deleted, making it impossible for polltakers to vote for it. Plus, it would be hard to update an missing image you can't identify.

So, a two line note would be better than a one line note and polltakers could still know what the option is without an image.

FYI, Ideally, your poll suggestion should not have not any somewhat obvious gross omissions. These are options that come to mind as a reasonable preferred choices a polltaker would want to vote for. I think there are more than a few more inseparable trios that could be listed for this question. I would continue to add to your answer pool.

FYC, The Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy consists of Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), and The World's End (2013) with all films directed by Edgar Wright and starring Pegg and Nick Frost.

@Pencho15 Good suggestions, the actors probably worked together at least four times that many, albeit with different directors.
