2.  Chiefs

3.  V (the first miniseries as there were sequels)

4.  North and South (the first miniseries as there were sequels)

probably showing my age with that list!

@riverotter You think my choices don't show my age?  All of mine but one are from the 70's or 80's, back when the miniseries started to become popular.  The other is from 1990.   I picked:

1.  The Civil War (a documentary miniseries by Ken Burns)   1990

2.  Chiefs  1983

3.  V (the first miniseries as there were sequels)  1983

4.  North and South (the first miniseries as there were sequels)  1985

5.  Holocaust  1978

If you don't want a documentary, shift everything up one spot and add "The Blue and the Gray."  1982

yeah, I noticed one list had nothing made in the 20th century and another nothing older than ten years!

Das Boot

One of the best miniseries ever. I'd suggest the order

Chernobyl

Das Boot

It

Nine Perfect Strangers

and...

xxx (tbc...)

No wait. Nine Perfect Strangers is still in but on last place. Third place should be

"Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter". It should be on fourth place. Now I got my 5 complete.

@Breumaster The Order is not important, i wanted to sorted by count of letters like this:

  • It
  • Das Boot
  • Chernobyl
  • Nine Perfect Strangers
  • Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter

@Master_Strange

That's interesting. I just wonder why, but you picked "Chernobyl" as representing image. That's the most important to me. The series is as great as "Das Boot" and "Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter". I just wanted to state my personal ranking of them, because the title of the Idea is "IMDb Poll Board Top 5 Miniseries". But when you say that the order isn't important, ok. :D

@Master_Strange

Chernobyl is the correct one to represent my choices. I was just a little confused about the order of the titles.

I'm confused. It's a bit too late but you picked the wrong set of miniseries from my post. The first five miniseries were my top five and the latter 4 were honorable mentions (including WandaVision).

I missed that poll suggestion. I have finished 7 miniseries. So 5 of them is 71% of what I have seen.

Anyway...

1. Scenes from a Marriage (1973) (Bergman)

2. Chernobyl (2019)

3. And Then There Were None (2015)

4. When They See Us (2019)

5. The Queen's Gambit (2020)

On my watchlist, I have:

Fanny and Alexander (1982) (I haven't seen the film  either)

Dekalog (1989-1990)

Berlin Alexanderplatz (1980-1980)

World on a Wire (1973)

Small Axe (2020)

Twin Peaks (2017)

Les uns et les autres (1981) (I have seen the film though).

Scenes from a Marriage (2021) (Note: I hope people will have used this series as a gateway to explore Bergman's filmography. However, I don't see the purpose of remaking. The 1973-1974 miniseries/film is one of Bergman's finest pieces of art, and it was as Fanny and Alexander insanely successful in Sweden, it was very much "pop culture."
