TV-Series would be one of them, doesn't match with the term movies,

TV-Show wouldn't either.

Mafia isn't a single genre on IMDb, it's crime. Also Horror-Comedy isn't listet as genre.

It's Horror or comedy, or both, but then it's in two genres.

I would prefer to keep the single characteristics of genre to simplify it. Mixing it could make it complicated, while it's very clear to take the given. So if you have horror and comedy, you can pick one movie twice. Once in horror and once in comedy. But I wouldn't mix it. Because someone could say: "I love that war-thriller or I especially like that horror-romance.  I think that's somehow clear, isn't it?

Btw.: My music-choice would be Amadeus.

Thank you for asking. I guess the spy movies would be listed under action, thriller, or something like that. But there is no clear genre "spy" or "spy movie". You took 'Goldfinger' as a spy-movie ... great choice by the way. It is listed in the genres action adventure and thriller. Just look at the tags under the movie poster on it's IMDb-site and you can read the genres it is tagged to.

I guess you want to do a poll for each genre? Like BonafideBOSS did for each letter of the alphabet?

Then you can take one movie on two of your lists, right. Maybe you do one list for horror and one list for comedy, you can put your horror-comedy on both lists, sure. But then both genres are occupied with this movie, except you define special rules like e.g. "2 movies per user per genre", or something like that. :D
