I'm a "First Time Watching" videos buff on YouTube, and it seems that many reviewers (though not necessarily representative of the majority) hadn't seen the 1993 movie or learned about the true story until they watched it.
It's a good thing because it's a story worth knowing, but it's unfortunate that the movie, which played a big role in bringing attention to it, seems to have faded into obscurity.
Maybe the poll should also include the highest-rated documentary; I watched one, and it complemented the experience of the movie very well, I mean "Alive". I haven't seen the new version yet, but "Alive" has left a lasting impact on me since I first watched it.
