O, no. In this case, the idea rubs me the wrong way, seeing as how Ethan Hawke didn't actually appear to the respective sequels to Sinister and The Purge.
You are right in both cases. The Purge (2018) is not the sequel, it is a TV series of the franchise in which he appeared in one of the episodes playing the character of the first film. Sinister 2, it was my mistake. The character from the first film did not appear in the sequel. I deleted this saga from the poll list.
Fair enough. I must confess, I didn't know that Ethan Hawke appeared in one of the episodes of the television series The Purge. I only saw a few episodes of the first season.
From your previous polls, I'm assuming that you're just doing movies with sequels and/or prequels, rather than using the stricter, more narrow definition of "saga?" If you're considering movies that are sagas within themselves: Boyhood.
Right, it was such a long time ago that the first one came out. I haven't seen the sequels to it, though. I didn't even know about Midnight So, that might be why it didn't dawn on some of us.

In terms of movies with sequels, FYC:
Linklater's "Before" Trilogy:
Before Sunrise
Before Sunset
Before Midnight
