Live Poll: Epic Movies With Most Extras

Hello, poll forum, another idea for your consideration, feedback welcome, thank you.

Before computer-generated imagery could create massive crowds, Hollywood relied on extras, real people who laboriously had to be controlled, clothed, fed and paid. A "cast of thousands" that assemble the huge armies in great land battles.

Which is your favorite biblical or historical epic movie?

One of the earliest epic films must be Intolerance (1916), according to wikipedia it had over 3,000 extras and they cost over $12,000 dollars a day.

Oscar winner Cimarron had over 5,000 dressed extras

I like your intro, but since you have movies that were filmed after computer generated films became available, perhaps you could add a note that some movies still make use of that massive human crowds.

The high number for Kolberg seems to be questionable. IMDb mentions 15,000-20,000 soldiers, though other sources say 5,000.
