I liked "New Nightmare" (c. 1994) the best, slightly ahead of the original film.

This movie was good since it had a new concept based on the original movies.

For my part, I really enjoyed the 3th movie (A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors), the visual effects were not digital and for their time they were great.
