For whatever reason, E.T. is not associated with the "Drama" genre, although it absolutely should be.

I have added it to the list.

No, I am very new to IMDb and Spinklr & don't have a Pro account.

I submitted a genre update, never done it before, let see if it will be approved...

There are not many SciFi movies, which are so clearly more than 50% drama & comedy like E.T.

Well, I tried it...

Maybe they take the term drama in a more serious way. It's tagged with genre "family", which can be dramatic, too. All I can imagine is that maybe they don't tag the term "drama" to younger audiences by causes of youth protection. It might be a law thing. But that's just speculative from me.

Unless there are any objections from the poll board, I'm making an 'executive decision' & choosing to include E.T. anyway. The film fits my 'vision' for this poll.
