Metacritic gives movies an aggregate score, from zero to one hundred, based on the weighted average of the most respected critics' reviews. A score of at least 61 is favorable and a score of 81 or higher is considered to be a "must see." (All of the films below have a score of at least an 84.) Nine of the movies below have been nominated for an Oscar, including three for Best Picture, and there are also films with only a few hundred votes on IMDb.

Below are the 2022 movies rated highest by critics, according to their Metacritic scores. Which of these do you think is the best?

Note of Exclusion Criteria: Only 27 movies are listed because, after that, there are too many movies in a tie to fit on the list. Although an IMDb list for a poll may have as many as 35 options, the movies on Metacritic's list with the next highest score are in a nine-way tie, which would have taken the list over 35 voting options.
