Live Poll:Best English Language Akira Kurosawa Remake

Western film makers have often looked for inspiration in Asian cinema. Especially from Kurosawa's films. Sometimes it's borrowing a premise and sometimes it's taking whole plots, beat for beat, in a new setting. There's a long list of films which have extensively "borrowed" from his works. And here it is...

Which of these western versions of Akira Kurosawa's films is your favourite?

Nice poll. You have a spare word in the text:  sometimes times

@Pencho15 I wasn't sure if l should include it as it's technically a remake of the remake but i've added it now

Interesting poll, I tried to suggest this a while ago:

https://www.imdb.com/list/ls073007794/

It's a totally different idea but you might find other movies that fit your description

@ElMaruecan82 Thank you. l wanted to stick to films that were incredibly close to the original.
l also had to make the decision to leave Star Wars out as it's not as close as the original screenplay is said to have been...plus it would have been a landslide win

@Cherganski

You can't delete an option once it has votes. And, only Django doesn't have votes.

The best you can do, I believe, is changing the title of the poll. Something like "Best Kurosawa Remake" would fit.

Suggest a re-push here: https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/imdb-poll/faq-poll-authors-repush-requests/5f4a7ad08815453dbabc3d05

@cinephile I'll make it into "Best Western Kurosawa Remake" as there are also japanese ones. Would a repush cancle the votes already cast?

@Cherganski

I don't believe so, but I'm not an expert re-push procedure. That is the poll admins' job.

@Cherganski No, a repush doesn't cancel the votes and can be done safely at any moment.
