Sauron is not an Elf, so maybe you can use a different image for that option (Legolas, Haldir etc.).

Right, forgot he was only disguised as Annatar. I put Haldir instead of him.

I like Dungens and Dragons, but actually just watched the recent movie with Chris Pine. I guess there are way more different figures in that game. There must be wizzards! :D

Of course there are Wizards! They are one of the most powerful classes in the game! 🧙‍♂️

The movie does a rather good job representing the classes.

There are also Fighters and Barbarians. They are purely martial classes and cannot cast spells (except some subclasses). And Paladins. They are holy knights and have limited spells known. Sorcerers are born with magic, while Warlocks get magic from a pact with an otherworldly patron (demon, fey etc.). Druids are nature based casters, while Clerics are casters of divine magic of the gods. Rogue is a dexterity based class and usually doesn't cast spells (one subclass can). Rangers also have limited spells, and they are the masters of ranged weapons. Bards also cast spells and usually inspire the party and cast buffs. And there is Monk. He is a master of martial arts. I play a Wizard (school of Evocation subclass, which focuses on damage spells). I recently made a poll about D&D classes where you can read a detailed description and see which one is right for you:

Also, Artificer is a class that is not from the Player's Handbook (the official source), but from an expansion, and they are also Half-Casters with limited known spells and they are the magical investors.

Wow! You seem to be totally into it. I must admit, dedicated I played Yu-Gi-Oh for about 2 years. Now I play Gems of War, which got me for about  and a half year. It's on the tablet, round based, free of commercial you don't want, because you youself choose, if you want to take a commercial. It's not poping up or being intrusive in any way. All in all it's a bit like Yu-Gi-Oh, just better. It does me fun for years and I'm still into it. But Dungeons and Dragons always was a black box for me. Since the movie, I think it's interesting. :D

It really is interesting! And because there is SO many ways to play! You can be a Wizard who stays back and cast powerful spells or be a Fighter in the front lines! It's all up to you. And if you decide to make your own character, there is a useful website called D&D Beyond. You can view the rules, classes... And there is also a website that is not like D&D Beyond, but features great descriptions of the classes. It is called Wasted Wizard. Just click on the three lines in the top left corner and click 2024 Classes (it has awesome pictures of the classes).

You get to choose your background, class and race. Each background and class give you some starting equipment, and the backgrounds give you a feat (some bonuses right away) in the newest edition of The Player's Handbook. Most players say that Fighter is the best class for beginners, but I started right away with Sorcerer. I later switched to Wizard because Wizards have the biggest spell list in the game and have a Spellbook and prepare spells daily! Unlike Sorcerers, who have a small, fixed list of known spells. But, again, it's all up to you.

BTW, I must try that Gems of War, it seems interesting! :D

I'm playing with the thought to try it. I just learned from chatGPT that there are groups in my home city. And I learned that it is easy to join, so far. Maybe soon I can make the experience. How is the community? More quiet and reserved, or more open and friendly? I want to be a little prepared before the impact. ;)

The community is usually pretty friendly, especially to new players. It is easy to join, just try contacting the DM and he'll probably let you play. Or, you can make your own group! Just gather some friends (it is completely ok if they never played), read the rules, see who wants to be the DM (dungeon master, the one who "tells the story" of the campaign), create your character and start playing! :D
You can also be the DM, although that is a little bit harder for beginners. It requires you to make the campaign, NPCs (non-playable characters), encounters and combat.
The Dungeon Crawl is the easiest style for beginners. You explore a dungeon with monsters, rooms, traps and loot! You also get some experience points every time you defeat a monster, and you need experience points to level up.
Also, if you don't find any groups in town that are willing to accept you, there are plenty of websites where you can play. Alternatively, if you don't find anything there, you can always ask ChatGPT to be your DM, and you're the player. ;) But, as I said, the groups in your town will probably accept you, since you're a new player! :D

The first time that I ever heard of (or played) Dungeons and Dragons was in the game room at a science fiction convention in Texas over 50 years ago.  There couldn't have been more than four or five types of characters and we played with standard dice.  I couldn't see what the big deal about the game was back then and I never played again.

Nowadays, it is completely different that the simple game back then.

It is definitely different. Even though I didn't play the first edition, I read all about the mechanic back then and saw how different is it from the new edition (5e/revised 5e 2024). And, actually, the D&D today is much easier to play. There are cleaner mechanics, d20 is used almost always... But, I would want to go back in time and play the first edition (even though I wasn't born back then)!

I replaced the Tiefling picture, this one looks more like an actual Tiefling.
